Minister for Retail Emer Higgins told RGDATA Director General that the Government will provide additional targeted supports for the sectors most impacted by new employment costs. Buckley highlighted employment costs as the most important issue for RGDATA members followed by other business costs including insurance and banking, retail crime, town centre first and the bedding down of the new deposit return scheme. A Government announcement on interim supports is due today (14/05) followed by targeted measures in Budget 2025.
