GOREY, Co WEXFORD: An Bord Pleanála granted permission to Tesco Ireland for a Hypermarket Store of 2,990 sqm net convenience and 2,112 comparison goods with 606 car space allocation, at Ramstown Lr, Gorey Co Wexford. RGDATA had objected to this proposal saying it would draw trade from the town centre. Tesco has a store on Esmonde St in Gorey town.

CARROWROE, CO SLIGO: Newbay Doherty refused permission by An Bord Pleanála, for a change of use from warehousing to a supermarket at Sligo Retail Park, Carrowroe, Co Sligo. RGDATA had opposed this change of use as the park is zoned for the sale of bulky goods. The Board stated to permit this proposal would set an undesirable precedent for convenience retailing in retail parks.

BRAY, CO WICKLOW: Bray Town Council granted permission in August for an Aldi Store on the Boghall Road Bray. RGDATA objected to this proposal as the site is located 1 km outside of the commercial core of Bray Town. A first party appeal has been lodged with An Bord Pleanala.

GALWAY: RGDATA has appealed a decision by Galway County Council to grant permission for a large mixed use development including an anchor unit of 4,300sq m gross retail floor area (3,000 net convenience) with 360 car parking spaces at
