RGDATA PLANNING UPDATES
Tralee Town Council has refused permission for a three storey mixed development of a Convenience Store and apartments, at Clounalour, Tralee, Co Kerry. The reasons stated the proposed development would interfere with the safety and free flow of traffic, it contravenes the ‘ Residential’ zoning objective of the Tralee Development Plan and would impact on the vitality and vibrancy of Tralee Town Centre.
Cork County Council refused permission for a Discount Foodstore at Rathgoggan South, Charleville, Co Cork on 16/5/11due to it’s scale and location saying it would have a negative impact on the vitality and viability of Charleville Town Centre.
On 13 May 2011 South Tipperary County Council granted permission to Tesco for a large supermarket of 2,260 sqm with provision for 248 car spaces on the former Dairygold site, Old Church Rd/Clonmel Road, Cahir, Co Tipperary. RGDATA had objected to the scale of the proposal and the impact it would have on the retail core of the town. RGDATA will appeal this decision to An Bord Pleanála.
