TRALEE, CO KERRY
An Bord Pleanála has refused permission for a mixed retail and residential development at Oakview, Tralee, Co Kerry. The Board upheld Kerry County Council and Tralee Town Council’s decision to refuse on the grounds that the proposal materially contravenes the zoning objective of Tralee Town plan to ‘protect residential amenities’ and would cause a traffic hazard. RGDATA had appealed to An Bord Pleanála to refuse permission.
THURLES, CO TIPPERARY
RGDATA has objected to a large supermarket development of 6,709 sqm gross, a drive-thru restaurant with 389 car spaces on a site at the former Erin Foods Factory, Thurles Town Parks, Thurles. RGDATA says the scale and location of the site will detract business from the Town Centre.
NEWBRIDGE, CO KILDARE
RGDATA has objected to an application for an Aldi Store on the grounds of the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, calling for the proposed development to be located closer to the centre of the Town.
